Fractals of Imagination

I am wrapped around by silence
In the darkness of a mind
stilled by foes of writ and wordplay
and a muse that caters blind.

With a fear that reaches soul depth
By imagination dressed
Day by day, the mind in anguish
by this adversary pressed.

Beads of sweat upon my forehead
track the salt down to my lips
with the taste of fear transparent
liquid longing in the sips.

The circumference of the silence
spheres a solitary state
in a wilderness of chaos
fractalled beauty in the wait.

When the first imagination
and pure will initiate,
the wished for inspiration
will the fear expatriate.

Don't know if I read this correctly or not, but to me, this is a poetic tour de force of describing writer's block! :-)

Loved it,
Indigo

wow. You guys are crazy smart. My pea brain would have labored far too long to figure this out, lol! But now that I have been given the context, the great writing here even makes sense now. Awesome work!

Thanks G... We write to express who we are and what is important to us, don't we! All of these poems are very personal explorations. It's one of the things I love about this site!

I'm glad you liked it.

Something doesn't have to be complex to be good, but sometimes if what is inside is complex, that's how it comes out!

Kin, if this is what you do when you have writer's block, goodness knows how high you will fly when your muse lifts you on her wings!  Just don't fly so high that you don't come back.  We need you in these blue pages!

In the moment you are aware of this, you can start plucking!

Great poem!
