You seek and secure all secret ways
to pour into my heart
Resonant
In fleshy valves
Spiral
To fantastic realms
I follow on your endless search
though trembled thoughts
Absorb my mind
Each rise and fall
I dare to breath your climbs.
You whirl the broken pieces of my soul
In perfect pitch
they lift and fly
In freedom to your goal
Where sadness sings in joyous rings
and soars on chords and cries and curls.
Through Barbers Adagio for Strings
Waves of tears of bliss roll over
waves of tears of pain
Resound
In oceans deep of awe.
There swells the blood of angels
who whispered heavens name
Who floats on every score
Ascends on every frame.

Ohhh, . . . . listening with my inner ear to the sad, slow, soft music of this!

Your comments are so interesting. I thought this was a little mournful myself. I showed it to a friend of mine a while ago who likes to tinkle about writing songs and after a bit of re-jigging he turned it into a lovely little song. What was fascinated me was how perky and upbeat his song turned out to be. It never ceases to amaze me how differently people can read (into) the same poem. Thanks all. xxxjanetxxx

I can feel the heartbeat of the poet in this wonderful verse. May you bless the composers who bless you and may the cycle be endless.

I love this...

As a musician I can appreciate your imagery. It resonated in me a sense of contentment, albeit crescendoing and descrescendoing contentment. Your style and word choice is very appealing. Good job.

there is something about your poems that I find very appealing for the way they stir the imagination.
