I find myself
nested
on the wrinkles
of a cliff,
on the lip
of a skyscraper,
in the lap
of a bridge

haunted
by ghosts
of winds
that brought me here

until reaching
for a feather
flitting in emptiness
draws me
to the dizzy edge
from which
I fall or fly

into the heart
of a cage
so vast
I mistake it
for the sky
