Enchantment The bewitched, enchanted eyes and fingers through which we see each other and all living things, the Sun, Moon, stars and everything beyond, are metaphorically seated in the heart. When you let me feel through your filmy, satin curves, I see everything that you can show me, both the visible and the invisible, and with an ethereal, shimmering radiance, as you do. , Please, whisper me, in wordless sighs and moans, of all the colors, shades and hews there are. Please, whisper to me, as only you can do ... For whatever we arbitrarily call "real," is really just made of fantasies and dreams. So come to me tonight. Be hasty in your flight! Fill my waiting arms, love, and hold me ever, ever so tight. Please, materialize for me tonight? ... Please? ... Please? ... Please? ... ... And now, good night! (did I spell hews right? You know, is it Hughes, hews, or what?) |

I thought your use of hews was interesting. if you meant variance in shades of color, it would be "h-u-e-s" but I like transformative wording, and hews, is an action verb. As in..."He hews the common vocabulary into art, as a sculptor hews the stone."  and if it's read fast, it can be ambiguous, too. I love Joycean type word play, and you captivated me with this. I'm enjoying both the write and the replies, Jaime. I had a similar reaction to 'hews' and can relate to Karen's comment. May you always feel the wide array of 'hues' within the rainbow of life. |

Sunshine, as noted earlier, the Sun is always shining in my computer and it is always shining in Braille. Aaaaaaaah, Sweet Senerity. You were ahead of me on the hews stuff, but I meant it to be hews of color, but this just added an unintended layer of meaning, making it a little more mysterious??????? Ohhhhhh Aliiiii You will always have a permanent invite to enter and beee with all of meeee ... Catch ya whenever! BTW I still don't know how to make many emoticons). |
