A State of Disarray

0 posted 2008-07-22 02:40 AM

Wild word songs whisper
Moon orange dances into place
Curves of fingers...restless
Grace gentle, then cradle my face

A twist toward lips attraction
I feel breath of nestled time
Prairie essence lingers onward
Your hand spreads and clutches mine

Quivered heartstrings echo
Through valley's grassy evermore
Clouded star stream's seance
Mists the moment of implore

On this eve of our beginning
Crossing out our ancient stains
We linger ever hopeful
And start to taste the rain

This flows from beginning to end in a crafted piece of verse.

I love the last quatrain.  Way to leave me tasting the poem.

there's nothing quite like the cradling of a face whether you be cradled or are the cradle-er.  it sparked a vivid memory and image that surprised me in its strength, and that's why we do this, no?  thank you.
