Jangled Immortality

The mold was broken then
A range so much broader cracked the seams
Once flexed, not again to fit the same of dreams
Pink turned thick and plumb, fingers of gray
Stroked the afternoon sky, flicking clouds as coins
Emotions grow exponentially as time employs

Innocent and wild blooms, mature and rich
Revealed as new, take on a heightened pitch
Braced against the valley rim
Ne’er to return again from whence they came
And ne’er could it be a feeling quite the same

Such as a mountain once given birth
Freed from the struggles and the binds of earth
Now levitated in the soul as all majestic things
The mold was broken then
I cannot put it back again, ignore or just pretend

That I don’t see, or paint with living art
Soulfully
