I’m addicted to this high
that floats my mind
upon a sea of soul.
I wade through thoughts
in hypnotizing ripples
finding echo in my blood
to flood some crazed theme
in schemes none can suspect.
For I alone within this
mara-thought of muse
rue and fear what’s left behind
upon the dock of deference,
reference to what’s framed
and stored, unused
abused and lost
forever. Give me pain,
that driving fuel, that feeds
and seeds the power
of creation. Draw me,
paint me, sing me, write me,
send me skimming over waves
to dip my staves in passions’ waters.
For all the agony of apprehension,
inspired Invention of the image
the song,
the writ,
will buoy me
to the next.

Methinks your talented Muse will fit in perfectly with pipTalk's "Family of Friends". I thoroughly enjoyed your debut poem!

Enjoyed your poem immensely, Lynda.  I particularly liked the run-on rhymes that enhanced the flow initiated by "wading" in the title.

Thank you so much for the welcome Earth Angel! I am hoping to jump start my writing again. The last poetry site I was with, is now fading away and I want to rub elbows and poems with people who are passionate about their poetry.
You are very encouraging.
And from Ontario!!! home sweet home! hehe...

thanks again.

And Diana, my new friend!!!! We are kindred spirits are we not! Thanks again for all your support, both in emails and replys!

Many enticing poetic lines. The above quoted could stand alone and still remain strongly impressed upon the reader's mind.

I welcome you to Pipland, dear Lynda.

Thank you Diana and Margherita,
I'm sleepless in Ontario this nite. It's good to know there are friends awake with me.

Hey, you aren't allowed to be sleepless in Ontario - only Seattle.

It isn't night here (South Africa) and I think that Italy (where Margherita is) is on the same line of longitude or near it, so it won't be night there either, but that means that we are awake with you all the more.

Now, lie back, relax your toes, then each muscle all the way up to your nose (especially your shoulders), then your eyelids and waft on those waves of poetry you created and smile a little smile . . . and f-a-l-l . . . a-s-l-e-e-p . . . there you go . . . (you're allowed to dream up another poem while you sleep)

Thank you Lindsay! Talent is a coin whose only value is realized when spent. Looking at your poetry archive, you know the meaning of the word and its more valuable companion, a good work ethic!
I love this from 'Visions of the Outback'

'The outback spawns a strange romance,
Where the lightning’s flash is a devil’s dance'

NOw that's a place I could live!
