I treasured every word
believed in your heart of gold.
You put wind in my sails
then brought me to still waters
to wallow in the ripple effect,
pondering my reflection in the moonlight.

Honest intentions are poor excuses
when used repeatedly.
Without a port of entry
there is no clear view in dreams
no light on shore that beams,
lost in our ways.

Like a picture postcard
from an island in paradise
a rendezvous in verse
watered down to tears
yours,  mine,  and hers
lit by stars in our eyes.

Oh desire is a steady heart beat
rafting gently down the stream,
and you were a glorious poem
before editing
the best part of me.

Needy is painful
like passing ships in the night
keeping company
on the stormy seas of life,
before the break of dawn
races against the wind.

You lost me
in those fleeting moments.
Like a fog settles in
weighing heavy
with each wave of good bye,
billows across a northern sky.

Thanks for reading ladies.
Least I'm not the only one sitting home on a Friday night.
I do have a life if I remember correctly.

Thanks Meester.  Got coffee?

Margherita~  I just think that we are easily seduced
by the written word, and made worse when there's a pattern.
Suffice to say, the world wide web is a mysterious place to be.
I appreicate you, Margherita.  Thank you.

Lori, I found myself sadly nodding my head with understanding and compassion as I read your soulful stream of words.

Your pen spills an eloquent brand of ink.

Love to you, Lovely Lori!

I was transported by your water-themed poem, Ms Blues.  We are all at times like ships in the night, eager to taste the salt on our bow and waiting for south easterly winds to fill our sails so that we may travel to places unknown.

Dear Bluesy, If you're asking for coffee then you've made it through!  This poem reaches out and touches! People can do harsh and inconsiderate things but it only hurts if we let it but, of course, we hurt until we know to forget it. That can take a bit of time but eventually we ... ask for coffee!
