   Introspection

A wide moon fills
the candlelit window,
where wisps of time
trail out through
cracks in the soul.

On this night of hope
and no pretensions,
one must wonder
whether such glorious
  light
will shine within...
to reveal some
  remaining
choice and purpose,
in a ‘life’ of far
too many wayward
  dreams,
and numberless
paths not taken.

You are touching my heart, Bruce.  And filling some of the cracks in my soul with the light that you share in your poetry.

Oops!  I have just said that Certainties was my favourite of your poems, but now I am not so sure!

Whilst I feel your sadness in this and I don't like you to be sad, I like the personal touch to your latest poems, and honour your invitation to us, your readers, into your soul.

This work is almost as beautiful as those Endless Mountains, Poet. And just as eternal.
