Love Is Made Tell me then heart Speak the sage in you, disguised and misguided Promised as the words confided, fire and fear Did you really see inside when truth was near? When purpose was truth, emotions to tear If the answer still shimmers, tell me Lest your arms ache to hold on and fold to Release of envisage so gentle, as a glass topped lake Feeling each ripple, simply for your own sake And for him, Have you really let in every breath that you take? Tell me then heart, what to give In the fall of your words, in these times to be still Every thought, every deed, every moment its seed By His word and His will Every image he glows, to resound what love knows Tell me then heart Have I followed you through time and trace? Have I breathed in each second by your grace Does he know? Does he know! Rising up with the sun, such delight set to fade From the soul to the skin, always as love is made Every soft touch by eye, feather weight hopes sweet sigh In my dreams, in my wake everything for his sake Tell him then and again, Tell him heart every way love is made Copyright Kkh 7/15/08 |

I am particularly fond of the beginning and ending of this effective ‘Romantic’ write: “Tell me then heart Speak the sage in you, disguised and misguided Promised as the words confided, fire and fear Did you really see inside when truth was near…” “Tell him heart every way love is made” AND, the line: “Tell me then heart Have I followed you through time and trace?” Applause! |
