Lazy Days

It's there
amongst the soft clouds of the day,
the swiftness of thoughts
of when 'gainst the breezes
you and I just were...

No words need pass,
for inside are the secrets of heart
navigating the mind
until touch is felt
even when you are gone...

Always room in the view of life
for yesterdays' memories
to linger on
and kiss the lazy days
of summer.

M

I don't have too many lazy days of summer. But, enjoy them when I do.

smile...

sometimes I blame thunderstorms on such thoughts--I guess it depends who you are remembering...

I hope I didn't miss your b'day, btw?

I get hopelessly lost every July...

Love you tho, and this reverie so filled with longing.

Oh what a perfect summer daze~  Love this poetic sway, Maur~

I remember that picture you posted way back when, of your wooden swing in the garden.

That's where I picture you in this~
Warm hugs, Maureen~

Yes, it's like that for all of us in the lazy days no matter which season we choose for that.  I have lazy winter days here because then the sun is just right to remember ... love.

Well said! Enjoyed!

Sue, I make the time to laze around...and enjoy the fresh air and  people watch as they pass by.

kaile, thank you, that's how I feel when home and relazing~~wistful

Midnitesun, thanks so much...I am trying to write from a more positive outlook.

D.Lester Young, Thanks for visiting, nice to see you again.

Karen, yes we have been having thunderstorms and heat waves and the only way to get through them is to sit and relax om the porch, as do all the neighbors( especially when you have such a nice porch And my b'day, was at the end of June. Nothing special, just another day and year to hopefully look forward to and to try and forget this last one.

Garapan, thank you for stopping by.

Lori, you  made me search for this picture and yes  other than a change in cushions the  swing is the same one.
Very warm hugs back~~

Helen,  glad to know you have those kinds of seasonal daze too Thank you.

Joyce, it is amazing how you remember the  good times over the bad and I am thankful for that.

Ida, Thank you for stopping to read and respond. Your thoughts, as are all others, are very appreciated.

lis, I like to read here during my morning coffee, too. Thank you.

Nakdthoughts,

That looks like the view from the old Jordan place in Monticello, Georgia.
