           Gypsy Moon

The clear-bright eastern moon
floats among these gentle mountains
across a sunset-mirror lake,
(parting silent shadows and the
   evening spirit-wind)
its soft light broad and healing,
illuminates the farthest reaches
of this empty forest and the
   troubled mind…
offering tender comfort
without pretension,
then simply journeys on
in eternal westward wander...
following the footsteps
  of the sun.

You reminded me how much I miss the moon in the summer.  Thank you for sharing yours.

"offering tender comfort
without pretension"

Nature always does this for me.

I had to return for another reading of this poem. It is mighty fine work, Poet. In addition to its content, of course, I'm rather captivated by the choreography/motion of it. Well done!
