Obsidian Song

Sullen feels strange, as it grips and kneads the last pulse of all too long
Coral colored blur to blind me, nothing of initiative to drive me
Suction has released the very last pump of enduring fate, sit and wait
Meditate
Obsidian soul, rendered imposter to be, carefree normally
This mood is not dark, but lost in the thickness of longest hours
The sated outlook drought devours, spends itself to be an adverb only
Most for certain times are lonely, as day withdraws from morning sun
Done is done
And what is not, lingers beyond my fingers in perfume and lingerie
Formidable challenge devoid of deacon, muffled Marco Polo beacon
Seeking with my heart each breath impound
Tumbling in granite tone profound
Helplessly, the hopeless air is ground
Waiting for accompany, so sound

There are a lot of great lines in this. Hard to pick a favorite.

"Obsidian Song" ~ what an apt and perfectly poetic title for this sad song so beautifully sung.

As you may well know, obsidian is also known as "Apache Tears".

Loving hug for you, dear TD,

Kathleen~

You are a breath of fresh air, the brightest star, a lonesome tear, a passionate heart,
and a diamond so rare and true.  I feel fortunate to read you, and I wonder if you know the pleasure it brings.

Thank you for the gift of your words, they are ever so meaningful to me.
