Tender Interchange The touch of your fingers to the keys Divulge each weary mile wrung from semi colon eyes And these, when carefully, you speak into my perceptions Angling each quiet hour between us, glistening inceptions Your stare, deep into the screen, into my heart Waiting there, until my grasp is gold An ocean of affection to unfold Waiting as I do, a tilt and kindred point of view As I’ve been weary too, pushing time into brass Molding mountains in good taste for time to pass Saving moments, polished up and tagged by hand Spent to adore the more when chance relents unplanned There, along the resonance of softly spoken kind We meet, at some grand point preplanned, yet undefined Where my touch strikes the keys, in thrilled familiar spell Foretelling future hopes and dreams, that inner oceans well Between us, swirls the spring, intersecting everything The works of which, though strange, dissolve in tender interchange Copyright Kkh 7/8/08 |
