.

Orange breasted robins
And cardinals
With bright red wings
Cloud white swans
That moved in pairs
Along the shore

The lapping of waves
On colored pebbles
Polished smooth with time
Ships passing the lighthouse
Out of Sault Sainte Marie

It was July with fireflies
Over long green summer lawns
Crickets chirping their tunes
The whole night through

Not that then
Anyone
Was actually
Listening

For being young
And very much in love
We had better things to do

John,

This is an excellent Great Lakes poem.  It's a beautiful area.  Of course, you didn't notice that either.

Thank you all

Yes Bobby,
we were as many others
in love then pre-occupied
yet I seem to remember . . .

Thanks again

John
