We meet again
My silent friend
To you, the years were kind
I don my bracelets
You, your whistle
Together, we unwind

You came here to dance with me
And I came to dance with you
We both know now the road is long
And hard , and moments like these are few

But for just one moment
We can share
The fire from heaven
The heaven out there

And we will dance like warriors
And the vibe in the air could be cut with a knife
And I dance the way I dance this day
Because this song changed my life

Just one moment is all I need
to rid myself of worry and strife
All of my pains and fears and tears
Will be gone for the rest of this glorious night

For the light in our hearts
And love in our souls
we wont feel sad
When it’s time to go home

We are too strong to suffer
Too proud to give in
Too happy to bow to the demons within

We will NOT be damned
As we dance among stars
And if we are anything.
Then this is who we are

If we are anything..
..If I am anything,
Then this is who I Am

I love your enigmatic poem.  I was spellbound to the end.

I am fascinated by your quote - Ndakasimba kana makasimbawo - and would love to know what language it is and what it means.

Haven't heard from you in a while, Joseph.
I was plesantly surprised. There is a new
depth and maturity to you poetry. Very nice.

"ndakasimba kana makasimbawo" = "I am strong, you are strong."

I am pretty sure it is of the Shona langauge of Africa

In Hamlet, William Shakespeare wrote, "To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man."

I'd say you're on the right track whan you say, "Then this is who I Am"

Be yourself.

This "New depth of maturity" seems like it came naturally. Awesome writing.
