I haven't lived since you left,
only marked the slow passage of time.
I haven't been whole,
having lost a part of me
in the swift current of life's ebbing tide.

The desolation of my life is a desert
strewn with the wreckage of empty hours,
dust thrown in the face of my expectations
and the cold, cold realization
that I am lost in this world without you.

Somewhere in time you're still waiting
for the wanderer I have become.
Somewhere, I know, I will find you again,
and the long road I have travelled,
this eternity of solitude, will end.

Somewhere the caress of your eyes lingers
in the deep, dark depths of my soul,
and the touch of your sweet smile
brings back the dreams that I lost
such a long, long time ago.

Somewhere the sound of your voice echoes
in these memories I hold close to me,
and lonely days and endless nights
will one day be forgotten,
and I will live again.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Yes, you will, scoff and you will wonder why you lost so much time in starting over.
Excellent expression of emotions.

just from reading this,

if you are writing about somebody you personally know,

i hope you find this person again, or they find you...

Thanks, Ida.

ES,

This was written long ago, but yes, she was very real. Honestly, I don't know what I'd say or do if it were to happen, but I'd give almost anything for the opportunity to see her again.

This picture is so well painted, that one could almost wish you don't see her again just to keep it.
