Taken apart
A piece at a time
This broken old heart
What’s left of it mine
Looked in the future
Let go of my past
Searching for answers
Why love never lasts
Just more memories
In the making
What is left for me
Love’s always taking
Leaving me to bleed

Our hearts are fragile often, but if you look deeper into your higher self, your soul, you will find that you are always loved and never abandoned. You ARE love.

Beautiful poem.

Always, hardship enriches us.  It teaches us compassion for others in the same or similar circumstances or even others experiencing different hardships.  Think of this as a preparation for your next love who may not be your final one, but yet another learning step to create the best person you can be to give to your final one.  Never let anyone treat you badly.  Teach - indirectly or directly, whichever is appropriate at the time - each person you meet how to treat you - and always treat others with love and respect and dignity, no matter how they treat you, but if your next love treats you badly and won't be taught how to treat you, then she is not the love for you and the kindest thing you can do for both of you is to move on.  We always have a choice, no matter the circumstances.  Perhaps it is good that you haven't met your final love yet.  Perhaps you still need a little more love experience to be the most worthy you can be of your final one.

Wow. I tend to agree with Owl that it is a huge possibility that you are in the learning process for a deeper and more lasting love. I was getting the sense that you were in a post relationship struggle and this poem and your responders confirm it. Best wishes to you for heart healing and a better tomorrow than yesterday.
