.

Blue in blue
How can you know
The joy it was
To be brave and free

To move to flow
In time and space
Apart yet part
Of the universe
Absorbing the rhythms
Of the sea

Eventually
For each of us
Disaster becomes personal
With only silence to fill the void

Yet how good it was
In the time I had
To have faced the beast
And roared
