       Dream Lake

Beneath penetrating
  starlight,
(with spirits stirring
  in the breathless wind)
along the far-water edge,
misty willows whisper
to a grand crescent moon,
gliding on the ripple-mirror
interface of heaven and earth…
that is this mountain–forest
lake of finest dreams.

Bruce,

I truly know of
a breathless wind...

and you captured the spirit
of it
so very well.

Kudos!

Secondhanddreampoet,

I think I know this lake.  It provides happy memories from long ago.

I will not mar the spell with words, just let the poem draw me into the dream . . .

So delightful!

This conjures up memories of nights at a California lake, with magical loon calls in the background.
Peaceful, comforting, refreshing.

Ever so peaceful and uplifting when we feel the oneness with All there is. Your poem is a wondrous reminder, dear Bruce.

So beautiful!

This is almost like seeing Lake Jean again at night. (with trees other than willows, of course) Beautifully written, and greatly enjoyed!
