The Responding Poets of PIP

          The Responding Poets on PIP

It is about twelve months ago I joined up with PIP,
It was through a chat I had with my good friend Rick,
He said that I’d enjoy the feeling of camaraderie
And appreciation of the other poets would surely click.

It”s with a sense of fulfillment that now I write this verse
And thank friends for their response that my words evoke,
It gives me untold pleasure that I can now partially reimburse
All the kind and generous answers from all you good folk.

There are many brilliant poets up for top selection
And I’m sure my number one will be allowed,
To me and many others she’s the ultimate of perfection,
Yes I know you’ve guessed it, it is our own Linda Dowd.

Marge Tindall is another who is very hard to beat
And her photography must surely be admired,
And Arctic Wind almost always serves us up a treat,
As well as Ida Wherret whose work is much desired.

There is also Margherita who is a definite front seater
Who is always there to put in a kindly word,
And Roniece I’m sure on poetry very few can beat her
And not to enjoy Hope’s writing would simply be absurd.

James & Bobby are responders & good at what they write
And Alison and Gunslinger are both a joy to read,
Prasad and Garapan are most welcome to this site
As are Kaile, Paul and Vandana great writers I concede.

Kit, Tim and Islander are most welcome with response,
It’s what makes writing poetry such a pleasure,
Along with Lester and Leoni and another poet Phonse
And to read Honeybunch’s reply is such a treasure.

Marcus, Simon & Blue Seranade with great talent displayed
As well as Tammy, Seoulair and RV Wood,
There is Maureen & Passing Shadows, poets all selfmade,
Wind Walker and JWesley  do their best to make it good.

Amusemi Tom and Late, I hope your response won’t dissipate
As well as Miscellanea Tina Trivett, Kris and Lady Tom,
Sharyn Sherry and Leej, you’ve all helped to make my day
And I often wonder where you all come from..

Now last but certainly not least are poets Rob and Dee,
Bugbuggy Taylyn and Violet all keep me writing on,
There was also Fareed whose answer came with speed
And last a very special mention for our John.

Now I thank you one and all for your friendship on PIP
And I am so glad that I joined up on Rick’s advice,
For right at this moment there’s no place I’d sooner be,
It’s the result of the right way that I rolled the dice.

this is amazing! I wish I could have written this! I have always felt that a simple "thank you" was never enough for the way I feel when reading replies.

I was just about to slip off to slumber when I had the sudden urge to pop into pip ~ and glory be! ~ What did I see?!? I'd say it's good to follow one's urges! ~ Well, at least most of them!

Not only was this an excellently executed poem, it was downright entertaining! ~ And personally flattering ~ as it was, I'm sure, for all our  esteemed and talented poet friends that were mentioned.

Now, if I had written this ~ I would have replaced my name with YOURS!!!

Ya knows I lovesya!

Lindsay. How nice of you to write this for all of us. Of course you must know that you take top honors with us too and we should all thank Rick for sending you to PIP. I have been on the site for about a year too and it brings me a great deal of pleasure to share my poetry with so many wonderful people. I have learned so much about Austrailia from your stories and hope to see many more of them.

Lindsay,

I stopped in on my way back to bed and I am so happy that I did.  Your poetry shows your heart and its capacity to love.  PiP truly became a better place when you joined and began to share.  We all owe Rick a huge thank you for opening the door for you.

Thank you for writing the wonderful words that you write.

PS - It's two years for me on July 9 (I joined under 'aziza').  My dearest friend, Sheli, linked me on my birthday, and I consider it the gift that never has ended.

Dear Poet, you did an amazing job here with your homage to all of the wonderful people here at Passions, I couldn't have wrote it better myself.

You, and Rick, and others have represented Australia very beautifully, as you do the whole poetry community as well.

Great job on this Lindsay, just like Rick, you are amazing poets as well as real gentleman!

LOL! Thanks for the honorable mention. I'm new here, really. Can't say I rate being part of such a great poem, but thank you.

It's been nine years since I started here...and I always get such pleasure seeing, in this form, that this place is one that can please most people. And your choices of some of our "best" are right up there, m'friend.

Well done!

Lindsay - thank you so much for including me in your wonderful write.  I feel exactly the same way about the poets here (and that includes you) even though I'm not here now as much as I used to be.  Life is settling down and I hope to remedy that in the near future.

I can't actually remember how long I've been here but it's a long time and each moment has brought a lot of pleasure.

I'm sometimes guilty (through lack of time) of reading and not responding and I hope to also remedy that soon.

Thank you for being here!

Wow, what do I say to this. To say I'm blown away would be an understatement.
Your response makes me feel so humble and flattered, but so happy that you all enjoyed
my very sincere poem, for it has given me a wonderful new interest in my twilight years.
I know there must be other poets who have responded to my poems, who didn't get a mention here but I had trouble with my computer and lost all my early work and responses, so to those kind folk I whole- heartily apologise. So to each and every one of you great people I thank you from the bottom of my heart. God Bless you all.

Lindsay

Well, if you think I'm going to respond, you better move someplace like...like Australia!

Helluva memory you have there, my friend...I don't remember names worth a hoot...call my wife, wife, because I'm afraid I'll call her by the "wrong" name....

Enjoyed this and all the response you received.

Although I am familiar with some of the names in your poem, there are quite a number that I do not know.  Your work and the archive allow me access others that I am not familiar with.
