   Poets Lost

a ruined tree stands
in the sunlit forest,
ten thousand sorrows
blowing  past…
withered dreams
slip through
the cracks of
this life
as they fade…
two poets having
come here,
to seek some
consolation
in failing words…
kindred loss,
and the vacant,
penetrating calm.

"The vacant, penetrating calm" is filled with the beauty of your words, Poet.
