Royal Purple Cliffs

These regal cliffs, compliant eyes to follow you
Diving into need that flows the slickened rocks; oblivion designed for two
Summoning my strength, open arms become wings and rudder
Open hearts surge stronger in the shudder
All that is gentle and tender gives way in moans of midnight stutter
Crimson tones, that split the waters, parted lips of soul surrender
Molten, slim and liquid spaces melted to consume, embrace us
Fall we must

Passion steams in melding of crimson skies and midnight eyes
Driving forth each jagged breadth in pure magnificence
No, I cannot be patient; no, I have not control
No, there is no sanity, no vanity…only arch and deep humanity
Diving from the heights where you suspend my consciousness
Longing to be fleet, as the coursing of rivers emptied stream
Royal purple cliffs of sudden shifts claim calling to redeem
And fall we must, into these granite depths serene
