I'm a dreamer not a do'er a romanticist at a distance,
only seeing never touching, watching you.
Time betrays me as it slays me, I exacerbate my condition.
Not quite feeling, thoughts I'm stealing, dreaming you.

I arrange some possibilities, they disolve into obscurity.
I enlist my motives but they reach a state just short of purity.

I'm a pilgrim in a landscape only talked about in passing,
barely moving, always reaching, wanting you.
As I walk the sun behind me, I see shadows of a multitude
growing longer as the sun sets on my view.

I think you dream beautifully, dear Rick! To live up to our dreams, reality is deeply challenged I guess ...
