As points of light a glimmer
trapped in sparkling beads of dew
Fall slowly down my window
they create a clearer view

Revealing my reflection
in a frozen gaze of time
These teardrops of a new day
trickling down along with mine

This melted condensation
which now weeps onto my sill
Epitomize the heartache
of a life so unfulfilled

A life sans all tomorrows
but for memories of pain
A past so omnipresent
there is no chance of escape

I’ve wallowed in the shadows
of this sorrow evermore
I’ve hid from every truth
that I no longer can ignore

I’m looking for an answer
I’m not sure I want to hear
To see what is invisible
is vision that I fear

The sun is gently creeping
through this hazy twist of lines
Sparkling through the trails
that these drips have left behind

These sunbeams now upon me
I can rid this somber plight
The darkness of dejection
now awash in brilliant light

Bringing forth a new beginning
filled with strength and hope
A brightly lit commencement
giving me the will to cope

The chance of opportunity
we so often are denied
Is sometimes right before us
if we open up our eyes

So long my friend of darkness
I have no more tears to cry
The sun is slowly rising
and on this day, so will I

Freedom of expression is our, write.

I'm just so blown away by your pen.  I have to agree with ARH - I love the way it unfolded into strength, happiness, determination.

"Revealing my reflection
in a frozen gaze of time
These teardrops of a new day
trickling down along with mine"
I know this pain.

"The chance of opportunity
we so often are denied
Is sometimes right before us
if we open up our eyes"
I'm learning to live this.

Beautious, as always, Richy!

The graphics, the poetry...what better way to take a break, hey?

This is lovely, m'friend. Just remember, at least one Sun always shines down brightly on you, every day!

Oh, I love this for a hundred million happy reasons - one being that it has that wonderful sense of warmth and re-awakening after one has cried all the tenseness out of one's body and the healing starts by exhausting one into relaxation and feeling the sunshine.
