Buca di Beppo

Must be at least a thousand
picture frames on the walls,
filled with pictures of Italian
movie stars, sports figures,
singers & performers, dogs and horses.
Sophia Loren and Gina Lollabrigida's
pictures are many, and most any man
that admired beautiful Italian women
would be thankful there are plenty.
Some pictures are mixed in that look
like Italian Mafia men, and God knows
that when Italian men aren't working they
love to eat and hang out with their friends.
On the wall before me is a picture of a
young girl in a lovely white wedding dress,
kicking a soccer ball; now thats pleasing
to my eye, and to my left and right are
some pictures of Frank Sinatra and Perry Como
and Rocco Granata; I wonder, who's that guy?
Anyhow my stomach is growling and some
garlic bread and food and wine is arriving.
Now we'll enjoy some Fried Calamari, Spaghetti
with Meatballs, some Eggplant and Veal Parmigiani.
I must say that this will be a fine Fathers
Day eating out with a few of my friends,
even though my precious honey is far away,
me and my friends will share some fine times,
eating some delicious food and drinking some
fine wines at Bucca di Beppo's.

That sounds like a great meal James,

but keep your mind off those Italion

beauties and concentrate on what you are

about to eat. It read well.

Enjoyed sharing this meal (except for the garlic!) the friends, the surroundings and the ambiance with you.  I am sorry your honey was far away.

Thank you Ronald, Sunshine, Lindsay, OwlSA and KeyLimeSorbet for the nice responses...
Ronald I didn't mean to make it seem sad at the end, I was just sharing my thoughts at the moment and I would have loved to have my honey there with me, enjoying the good times...Sunshine indeed there are some Italian Restaurants in Hawaii...James
