Hello South Africa
Tormented by two oceans,
Land of Generosity,
Hello the squatters of Soweto
Let’s find answers to poverty.

Hello Johannesburg
And Diagonal Street,
Hello Beauty of the women,
Hello Bantu speaking tribes
Shoulders and Energy,
Hello the masks for twisting,
I salute you Nelson Mandela
And the voices of afrikaners,
I salute your poets
And their great performance.

Hello South Africa from The South
Tormented by two oceans,
Thanks to you, generous shores.

This is lovely Yann.  You have learnt a lot about South Africa, I can see.  Is this the poem you wrote for your friend that you were telling me about?

Nelson Mandela is my hero (along with thousands of other people all over the world, but then he is such a wonderful man).

It would be wonderful if we could find answers to poverty and starting as soon as possible, even if it takes a long to eradicate it completely.

And from South Africa (and me!) to you, thank you!

Thank you Owl, I wish I would have been in South Africa to learn all that, but most is providing from images and texts on the web...I know however this is a large country with beautiful reserves and people...About my friend I met him on the web on another site, He was a very fine and cultured man with easiness in abstraction...Alas without information we didn't hear from him anymore just from one right day...I have always felt sorry about that...

Have a nice day

It is such a pity that you lost contact with your friend.  Perhaps you will meet him again on another site, or even the same one again.  I hope so.

Thank you, I will have a nice day.  I wish you one too.

That is a lovely write my friend, and Africa is a lovely place. Yes Nelson Mandella is, to my way of thinking, the most
outstanding statesman of our time. I have had three holidays in Africa and have always found the people, both black and white to be very friendly and helpful.

You wrote it well

Dear Lindsay, I share a lot with african people and went there three times...They are very helpful and generous, they listen a lot the people and bring knowledge of oneself...I wish the world could recognize their greatness...

Thanks to you
