Joan was a peasant girl, let me explain
She lived in a province known as Lorraine.

Lorraine is a town on the border of France.
Joan of Arc was a girl that carried a lance.

She heard voices from Heaven that opened a door
To fight in a thing called the “Hundred Years War.”

She went and she battled and she freed Orleans.
She inspired many Frenchman to fight for the King.

This little peasant girl is now called a saint.
Her momma’s so proud she could probably faint.
