I have a question on the subject of music and poetry, somebody told me that if I make threats in music and or in poetry even though I don't put their names in the song or whatever I'd go to jail if it were directed at a real person, but I could make threats if it were aimed at a character within the lyrics, like for example I was told that can say stuff like, " it won't be too long before you die " , but couldn't say something like, " I will kill you if you don't give up on them ' , yet a band named Hit The Lights wrote a song called Bodybag that was an actual threat, I need a list of rules of what I can and can't say legally, or maybe a link to a list of rules.

I didn't know that was a law, but I think the difference is because the first example you gave you aren't specifically saying "I'm going to kill you" you're just kind of implying it through hidden meaning by saying "you're gonna die soon." where as the other one you flat out said "im going to kill you"
