À LA FIN DU JOUR D’UN ENFANT 1971 La nuit est tombée et je suis prête à partir au pays des rêves. Dehors, pas de vent dans la maison, maman a baisé doucement mes lèvres. Papa m’a dit, ma chérie, bonne nuit et puis je suis tout seule. De la peur j’n suis pas du tout la proie. Je sais qu’il ne faut pas de pleurs. J’aime bien ma chambre surtout dans l’ombre quand j’entends le timbre de l’horloge. Ce bruit, ainsi, ce bruit léger dans la nuit lentement m’assoupit et je dors. AT THE END OF A CHILD’S DAY Night has fallen and I am ready to depart for the land of dreams. Outside, there is no wind. Inside, Mommy has gently kissed my lips. Papa said to me, my darling, good night, and then I am all alone. I am not the prey of fear, at all. I know that I musn’t cry. I love my room very much, especially in the dark, when I hear the sound of the clock. This noise, thus, this gentle noise in the night, slowly soothes me and I sleep. - Owl |

Hello Owl, c'est un charmant poème plein d'enfance et de tendresse, on y sent l'amour d'une mère et d'une fille et beaucoup de douceur...Je trouve formidable que tu puisses t'exprimer de cette façon en français, et je te remercie de le faire... bravo yann |

I don't know why but I feel like I'm in the middle of a French foreign film or something? Another very sweet and tender tale Diana. I was never all that fond of the dark (and I'm still not, just don't tell anyone shhhh) this little child is my hero. What a joy Diana! Rich |

Thank you Richy. Giggles at being in the middle of the French film! I am glad that you enjoyed the poem so much. (I won't tell anyone about you and the dark - smiles - find it scary myself, especially when there are criminals creeping around in it, but uesd to love it passionately - still do, when I feel safe) Smiles. - Owl |

Thank you Gilead. Yes, it is a lovely feeling, isn't it? Thank you for concern, Yann. No, I don't think it is likely that she will change. I have tried everything under the sun that I can think of. You see, as sad as this is, she wants to have an image of being an unloved daughter, and if she changes, she would have to give up that image. Yes, Richie's humour was delightful, wasn't it? This is very sweet in both versions, the little one sounds wise and courageous! Unlike me who can't sleep in deep darkness, every night it's the same music ... I want the window shutters up and my husband wants them down. Love and joy. Margherita  |

Thank you Margherita. I consciously taught my children, from a very early age, not to be afraid of the dark or of storms and to enjoy both as I do, though not as much as I used to. - Owl |
