You've always
irritated me Dixie.

I can not understand
how a woman so gifted
could still end up
in the wrong place.

-Huan Yi

I'm not quite sure what happened here
in this life that was a gift,
where I went wrong and left behind
what I was, I am miffed.

The wrong place. Yes.
And no one knows how hard it's been,
to be in the wrong place, trying
to get it right again.

Jail. If you haven't been there
you will never know what that was,
Addiction. If you haven't been there,
you don't know what it does.

The wrong place has no words,
and it's a poet's certain death-
and I pray you all pray for me
and give me one last breath.

Very beautiful poem PS, enjoyed it, a great french poet François Villon had a similar life (America wasn't discovered when he lived) he went to jail and with poetry won notoriety, He is one of the best...

  Have a nice day

Oh, beloved Dixie girl, you have been on a path with too many obstacles, but you made it, you have left this tremendous period behind. John's words are words of caring actually, he speaks a voice so many parents use when they speak to their children who happen to make choices they do not approve of.

You are indeed wonderfully gifted and your beautiful heart shines through your awesome poetry.
Feel the healing touch of love and breathe, breathe and create your new life now. Exhale your doubts, you are God's child and you are meant to live serenely. May your every step be a step of faith.

I love you.

Darlin' Dixie, no matter how high the waves may  get, I know that you will come bobbing back up because you really are an Unsinkable Molly Brown! You have had your trials ~ and your triumphs. No matter how difficult things are for you now, I KNOW that you will not only survive, you will thrive! Hold your head up and keep the faith! May the time come when you are able to look back on your life and say, "Been there! Done that! ~ and I have learned and grown each step of the way!"

Greatness doesn't come easy!

Giving you a big, compassionate hug of love,
Linda

Yo Passing shadows,

The Yellow Brick Road can be a hard place.  I'll never forget it, and I don't want to go there again. It's hard to understand the Yellow Brick Road.

It ain't Kansas Toto.

My friend...words sometimes just aren't enough.  But I think you know where my heart lies . . . and for me, that's words enough.
