Fairy Glen

There’s a place deep in the woodlands that’s known as Fairy Glen
It’s shrouded in a mystic fog so no one ventures in
And anyone who finds their way into this wondrous place
Just won't believe the beauty of the things that they will face

Beside a waterfall there flows a clear enchanted pool
Where graceful mermaids swim within the waters deep and cool
The tiny people travel here whene’er the moon is right
To gather with each other on a warm and magic night

The elves and fairies all hold hands to frolic and to dance
While pixies ride on fireflies as unicorns will prance
Leprechauns turn cartwheels on the soft and soothing grass
Then move aside so little bands of marching gnomes can pass

The wee folk share their charms and spells until the break of day
Then one by one they’ll turn to mist and gently fade away
But when the moon is right and it is time to meet again
They’ll all be back to gather in the woods at Fairy Glen

Oh, Stephen, this is truly enchanting. That's some gathering the child within me wouldn't want to miss!

Such beautiful verses deserve to be published, for small and grown-up children. Tell us when this will be done.

... I am the one doing somersaults down the lotus petals ... see!

Just wonderful!

What a wonderful break you gave me from the harshness of the world!  You HAVE to have Irish blood in your veins!  You do, don't you?

Your words chase away all the evils of the world, Stephen and allow us to be children again. I agree, that your work should be published ( and of course he has to have a bit of Irish in him, Owl)or
how would he know about the Fairy Glen?

Owl, I'm a soup hound, I've got little bit of everything in me so I'm sure there's some Irish in there somewhere. Take care and Have fun. Steve

Ida, the wee folk would be glad to have you join them at the next get together. Most of my little stories are published in my first book but I've thought about a book just for the fantasy stuff. Maybe when I get a little more time. Take care and Have fun. Steve
