It’s ninety-five in the shade,
people are grouchy and mean.

Angelo’s sweating like a hog,
working that rag on shiny shoes.

He doesn’t care how grouchy people get,
just as long as they don’t forget to leave a tip.

He needs to make that bread.

Bobby

Angel,

I'm afraid Angelo is imaginary. That's the name of one of my son's ex-girlfriend's kids.  You're always welcome to drop by here at the house.  I'll E-mail you the address.  Call before you come.  You might find me a little dull, as I'm 71 going on 100.  Angelo, not his real name, is 40, and lives in New York City.

Bobby

I mowed lawns in the South when I was a boy. Most I could make in a day was about a buck fifty. But that was a lot of bread when a movie, popcorn, candy bar and soda was about fifty cents. ---enjoyed the poem. Angelo is industrious, and I like his style!

Thanks Art,

I glad you enjoyed the story.  Angelo always was a good worker, kept his nose to the grindstone.

I know about mowing lawns.  You got payed okay.

Thanks Yann,

Yes, Angelo was never one to let anything get in his way as far as money goes.  He's always been a hard worker.
