   The Unknown

What silent forms and
  fantasms
may arise and move
through the moonless
  night
only to return
to ‘nothingness’
(a million illusions
masking that one
  reality)
in a universe of
ever-expanding
limitlessness and
endless time,
vanishing forever
in all directions,
just beyond our
grasp…
What do we
truly ‘know’?

At some point perhaps Nothing-ness really becomes All-ness?
Another side of the coin....
Meanwhile, hope I can sleep through those 'fantasms' visits tonight!

This recalls Hesse's "The Indian Life" - Maya. Very fine, greatly enjoyed.

One of my favorite enigmas---the hidden variables in the quantum wonder of mass, energy, and time, and I sometimes set gravity apart . . .

This is an excellent poem and, indeed, what do we really know?
