In the sky there are
birds which look for
the direction of your heart
or for that of Egypt,
butterflies impatient
as trade winds which play
with hats and colored dresses,
there are clouds
knit by weather,

birds eat the butterflies,
clouds eat birds,
the sky eats clouds,
Due to raising eyes
towards this natural order,
I perceive the shining sun,
the blue sky of your hands.

It gave me pleasure on many levels,
one of which is: I understood what you wrote in French, and it's been years since I studied it!
It is wonderfully in tune with the natural world.

Dear Yann, I love it in both versions. And I love the idea of seeing the beauty and harmony which flows through all things, even if we can't always grasp the reasons why it is so.

Keep watching and sharing.

Beautiful!

Love,

Interesting ‘write!’…

I am especially fond of images such as:

That ‘cloud knitting’ weather!;

Those ‘impatient’ butterflies;

“trade winds … play(ing)
with hats and colored dresses”;

AND:

“la direction de ton Coeur!”

[I would describe far too many Americans via
  Coeur d'Alene...(which, for me, is 'sharp hearted')
  (just 'hard hearted' wouldn't be quite adequate...)]

Applause!

French truly is a romantic language, n'est-ce pas. Although I enjoyed both versions, je suis partial a la version a la langue francaise. (please pardon my high school French)

~ So beautiful!

The imagery in this is simply lovely, and though I understand not a word of French, it just looks good.

Hello Linda, I didn't understand, je suis partial à la version française, it means I am biased to the french version, there are barriers between languages sometimes, and that is charming, Thanks again for commenting ....
