Because I love you, I hope you stay
clean and crisp in white eyelet
smelling feint and daintily
of sweet honesty and vain
talcum blush upon your cheeks.
Pick flowers for the daisy chain
in grassy meadows where the rains
are giggle-skied naivete
of gently falling sustenance
on your tongue that lied to me
when you said you'd always care.

Because I love you I do pray
you'll never know that rock you found
that day we played upon the mound
was probably the stone of graves
of warriors that died as they
faced the white I let you say
was proof superiority--
a relic of the blood the ground
had swallowed for your innocence...
nurturing the daisy chain.

And know it is because I care
I told the truth of when and where
knowing that the cost would be
the loss of love you had for me
before I showed you nakedly

scars of my complexity

knowing that our difference
would erect the hateful fence

division of morality

of what was
and what should be -

contemptuous disparity
articulate in clarity
as you broke the daisy-chain:

"Wildflowers are weeds," you said,
"and you're the blossom of bad seed."

So off I went to ride the wind.
But trust that I'll be back again.
Get yourself a hoe, m'friend,
and don't forget the diligence --

bad ass grass grows through the fence.

If it weren't for the strength of your commitment to him, I would suggest making a new daisy chain of flowers without any of his weeds getting in them choke and bind the generous loving nature of you.

it isn't called ignorance because "they" get it.

and when you "divorce" them for it they blame everything else.

I am saving this one to print out.

I love you

I know as I click on a Serenity Blaze poem, that I am in for excellence - whether sadness with bubbles of humour, or happiness with tinges of pain - but ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS unique, honest, brilliant and spell-binding.  And this was all of the above par excellence!

Much enjoyed, Karen.

chuckling...

I love when I have fun writing something, and this isn't one that I'd call my best, but I'm timidly learning to let myself relax a bit more at the keys.

Thanks for the encouragement, mah lovely peops!

Love to all!
