flee, dark knight, of requiems past
scurry beyond your reach
fly aloof while horizons last
like sunsets on a sandy beach

begone your soul, away your heart
miss your mark and miss your goal
make between us light depart
bereft our joy , belay our dole

remember, we are not of thee
our place is found in what we lose
not of thy making, but let it be
we do not war for which we do not choose

come softly, come silently, just come
o, dark knight, thou art wearisome

Enjoyed your poignant description of "the dark knight" Steaven.

The dark knight needs to take the time to smell some roses with a lady such as yourself!

All work and no play makes for a weary, dreary knight!

Linda,

Thank you for your kind remarks, but I feel I must let you know that I am a dude...not a lady.
