Sweet little orphan-child
Jesus leaves you not alone
His heavenly hand now guides you safe
Into your Promised Home

Heaven’s tears are wiped away
At the joy of your return
As you settle secure in Jesus’ arms
Knowing Him and all that you will learn

Of endless joy and forever peace
In a Land so bright and fair
Where sorrows see their eternal end
And hurt and harm are not found there

We’ll miss your kisses and your smiles
And the ways you warmed our hearts
We’ll cherish long the memories of you
As we from you, for now, do part

.

This afternoon I received an email from daughter in Romania who told me of the death of a young orphan girl that I met earlier this year.  When I met her, she wanted to show off her English.  I looked at her and pointed to the dimples we both share, pointing to the ones on my face.  I asked her what they were.  Her English was not that good, but her heart surely was.  She leaned over (and to my surprise) kissed me on my cheek.  My heart melted.  She was an abused child and suffered many ailments.  Today a seizure took her young life.  Heaven is truly richer today.  I wrote this poem and asked my daughter to have it read at her funeral tomorrow.  Please pray for her care-taker.

Romantic Heart,

Thank you for the kind comments...but can one congratulate the lover of a rose for the rose's beauty?  This precious child was natural to adore...I like the thought of a 'dimpled angel'...please consider writing a poem to that effect.

This post certainly merited a "hankie alert".
I was awash with emotion while reading your poem but the tears came upon reading of the inspiriation for you writing it.

I'm literally choked up and moved with emotion.
The night sky will be one star brighter, but some of the sparkle has now left this Earth.

God bless and protect all of our blessed children of the world.

Thank you for sharing this little girl's story with your readers.

She's safely Home now and Our Father and his angels will be taking very good care of her.

Love & Child Light,
Linda

How tragic, no child should ever be neglected or abused in any way. They are a blessing that shouldn't be taken for granted. May she find peace in your words somehow and know that she was loved. Bless you

K-K,

Thank you for taking the time and showing your concern...it is appreciated.

Bobby,

Thanks for commenting and thank you for the blessing for her caretaker.  Her caretaker is a wonderful single lady who use to work in the orphanage system run by the government.  When they closed the orphanages in Romania, the workers were required to take the orphans into their own homes.  (This is a government fresh out of communism.)  She will now be investigated by the government.  Anything could happen, so all prayers and blessings are appreciated.  Her caretaker is a fine, fine lady.

The tears are streaming down my face, for you, your daughter, the caregiver and the dimpled angel whom God saved from her sad life of suffering, and everyone who knew her or reads your poem.

I can begin to understand that there could be an enquiry into her death, but will they treat the caregiver kindly and fairly, do you think?

Owl,

Thank you kindly for the nice remarks...your heart comes through in such a powerful way.

As to your question regarding the inquiry, it has been my experience with this particular government that they seek blame more than understanding.  We are not talking about a country that is used to democracy.  People there fear the government and remember the harshness of the past regime.  Literally, anything could happen.

That is bad news.  However, there must have surely have been a health condition and a death certificate that would absolve her of all blame - but then I know also that when evil in an individual, or a political party or a government wants to destroy, it is so easy to do so.

That the caregiver has to contend with her grief as well as all this is heart-rending.  She must be feeling that it is too much to bear, but tell her, through your daughter, that God doesn't give anyone a burden they aren't strong enough to bear.  My prayers and thoughts are with all of you, but especially her.

Dear Steaven, thank you for sharing this poignant, sad event of the sweet child's death with us. It is a shame on humanity that there are so many abused children and it is a mystery why children have to move on so early ... Certainly they teach one big lesson to those they leave here mourning ... LOVE AND RESPECT.

May her caretaker's heart heal and may she not be involved in painful inquiries. May the Angels provide to plant peace within her suffering heart.

So very moving.

Love and light.
Margherita

Owl,

Once again, thank you for your deep concern and permit me to clarify.  There has been an autopsy but we do not know the results.  Things don't always result in fairness in some places.  Such is this place.  Thanks for your concern.

Margherita,

Your words are true and appreciated.  Thank you for your comments and concern.
