Under The Shadow of the Moon

Earths' Iris of stunning blue,
The luminous white of milky clouds,
Radiant in contrast to the shadowed veils
Of a face so fair, and yet, eyes shaded by frost;
The frost of winter, a halo of barren hopes,
The face before me,
Which fills my soul with compassions pangs.
You are high and beautiful, like a shrouded dream,
But the sadness in your countenance causes me to blink.
Sad and lovely, a demeanor tinted with sorrow,
Much like a Willow, sleek and comely
Yet, draped about the earths cold surface
Hanging heavy with many cares.
Enchanting, and darkened deep
Under the shadow of the moon.

Oh how I love this, magical, wonderful,
but of course you know I love to be
"underneath the moon" especially in the "Night Breeze"...

Enchant me dreamer with your dreams~

Thank you all so much! I'm glad you all enjoyed it. And special thanks to Romantic Heart. I've been looking everywhere for a suitable image for this poem, and here you hand it to me on a silver platter. Yay!

Exquisite, Garapan.  Sometimes sadness enriches so much that beauty grows from it, if the recipient allows it.

You are absolutely correct, Sir Owl. Sometimes sorrow invokes a form of beauty all it's own. Thank you!
