the sun falls upon
the only skin left open
to an outside
strange world of death
while I walk
through stranded
blocks of sand colored
houses and streets.
it all looks
the same
blending into the
sky and ground
the only change
is the faces
some tanned like
leather hide.
blood is not
crimson when
it flows from
the body
thats been torn
apart by the
anger from
thousands of eyes.
the foul blend
of brown seeping
into the dirt
under your boots
staring at eyes
that once held life
as you wake in you bed
alone to the world.
