God of the Sea
Please Click Link above to hear music and my voice recording.

Music: Dolphin Magic by Ken Davis
From the album entitled: Dolphin Magic

God of the Sea
by Linda L. Dowd

Within the calm of a tranquil sea,
there ruled a benevolent force.
All in the kingdom ~ both great and small,
flourished in the light of this source.

He lived on the floor of the ocean,
in a palace of crystals and corals.
~ Surrounded by lush vegetation
Of waving sea grasses and florals.

The vista of towering seashells,
was pleasing to the sea god’s eyes.
They were home to all of his subjects
in this glorious sea paradise.

Mermaids would gather around Neptune,
~ singing songs to their king of the sea.
All in this world was rapturous
and each living creature was free.

The dolphins swam freely with whales,
among sharks, the fishes would play.
They all lived harmoniously together,
as friends of each other ~ not prey.

For eons he ruled this dominion,
with Trident, he protected his realm.
Sailors were granted safe passage,
if they stayed a true course at the helm.

Whenever his kingdom was threatened,
he churned waters into turbulent seas.
Roiling waves crashed ships into shorelines,
hapless sailors were felled to their knees.

Within the calm of a tranquil sea,
there dwelled a benevolent force.
All in the kingdom ~ both great and small,
flourished in the light of this source.

He lived on the floor of the ocean,
in a palace of crystals and corals.
~ Surrounded by lush vegetation,
of waving sea grasses and florals.

Yo Linda,

The thought expressed is nice.  However, it's a dog eat dog world down there, just the same as topside.  That's the way the world's put together.

Okay dear Linda, I finally got to hear your voice for the first time with this poem. My other puter's sound is kaputz. Oh my, what a wonderful voice you have, as soothing as your graceful and endearing spirit.

I'm going to have to go back now, and listen to your other poems with this feature. Maybe I'll string them all together, and have a small and special piece of you to listen and cherish, for always.

Hugs,
Rich

Dear Linda Angelo Terrestre, it looks like for once you have exchanged your wings for fins to sing the wonders of the sea and to share your beautiful visions.

Enjoyed this much, as you may guess ... I swam along of course in my dolphin self!

Wonderful!

Love and fin touch!

Richy, my dresden cheeks have no need for rouge whenever I read one of your flattering replies!

Right now I am glowing like the pinkest of roses.

You are very sweet.

My Maga Margherita ~

Yeppers! I've traded my wings and halos in for a tail and fins! Now you and I, my darlin' dolphina, can swim the depths of the great blue sea together! Perhaps we'll find John in our travels!

Yes, dear Linda, I am happy to explore the depth of the sea with you ... and it would really be nice to find our missing John!
Maybe we could also send a detective on his tracks?

Dearest Dolphina, what a lovely photo of your precious marine self! Using my tail and your fins, we will swim every ocean in search for our Captain John. We'll cry out to him with siren and dolphin songs.

Eeeee Eeeee

P.S. I'll ask my father, King Neptune to help us find him!

Awww, Linda, this is wonderful.  I don't believe Bobby at all - I don't think that there are dogs down there (I think he is miffed that there are flowers there!).  Seriously, you write with such beauty.

I love this poem.

Another beautiful Linda write!  It sounds like a paradise that's worthwhile hoping for so I'm hoping that one day I'll live in such a place where no one is considered "prey" for another.  Just got to get through this lifetime first and then perhaps we can think anything into existence.

Love
Helen
