‘peace, peace, when there is no peace’
the good book sadly warns
illusory desires that never cease
call us to muse when sounds the alarms

alarms that caution the careful
and signal the sensible
waving the flag of the hopeful
with messages, oh, so laudable

war cries of impatient harmony
lasting like a seedling
radiating rays of rancored acrimony
on a windy, sun-lit day

Dear Steaven, you have my deep appreciation for this little gem.
How many have died for simply believing in peace?
Humanity does not seem ready yet to live by the law of love.

Love and peace.
Margherita
