Twin cerulean eyes
peer up at the moon

Usually...
proud
stoic
and bemused

Now...
pallid
wounded
and confused

Solemnly comptemplating
her blues away

Tensed and overburdened
with the wreakage of her past
she mournfully lamented
her tormented tenderness

Reflecting inwardly-
meditatively thinking-
emotionally drained
she howled

Crying away
each
passing
pain

Until her eyes,
paled with age,
pooled together
what remained

Reaffirmed in her strength,
now the wolf
became a girl
gazing at the moon

Tear-stained eyes
and all

Welcome to Pip.  You can get a lot of positive feedback here. I was deeply committed to the poem with it's structure and rythmn until past midway where the wolf analogy starts- I lost the connection there. Still found much to enjoy.

I enjoyed this one.  The metaphor was clear to me, and well-visualized.
