You said things happen for a reason
and the planets must have been aligned
to bring us together on an evening
where one was waiting for the other
to smile hello in a room filled with strangers
you said we had things in common
but there would be new ones to be found
in unexpected places
where a glass half full
is a glass filled with promise
and that if you could
you would take me there to find them
just so happiness could linger longer
on both of our parades

and every day would be a celebration

Be kind at heart....for everyone you meet has their own battle to fight.........

A Toast, A Toast! With half filled glasses, hoping that both of your parades lingered long into the night, and well beyond into the celebration of your lives.

Beautiful Roniece!

...and? and?

Your poem speaks about what he said....so did he follow through or was it just a line? (a pretty good one, at that)

The half filled glass, filling the other half with promise. Wonderfully written and enjoyed reading this poem.
