You love me silently
and from a great distance,
I am loud but don't care
to fight the resistance
of a self-made prison
I myself once knew,
I broke out recently
and I need more of you.

But you are there
behind your bars
and I'm far away
dancing on stars,
trying to find
a love like yours,
peeking into windows
and rattling doors,

trying to accept that
you love silently,
knowing you will never
hand over the key.

Interesting 'write!'...

I am particularly fond of:

"...you are there
behind your bars
and I'm far away
dancing on stars,
trying to find
a love like yours,
peeking into windows
and rattling doors..."

Applause!!

Dear Passing shadows,

This is a very interesting poem.  I rather like it.  Keep on rattling those doors, you might wake someone up.

Love Bobby

Passing shadows love often happens to complete opposites.  They puzzle each other together.  This was a delight. Keep peeking in windows

Dear Dixie, this is quite powerful in content and poetical rendering!

Love will knock at your door again and shine, dear beautiful poetess.

Love and hugs.

Yep, Dixie, I am lovin' this poem.  Sometimes, when I look up at the sky at night I think I see you dancing on your stars!

"But you are there

~ Gosh, Dixie, this poem would make for great country song lyrics!

May you find the key to open a very loving, kind and adoring heart.

Dixie - Some people don't even know what a "key" is let alone where to find it but we can love them anyway even from a distance.  It certainly doesn't do any harm.
