the love of a woman
is a rope
that pulls
the man towards
the heavens.

When for any reason
the rope is cut
the man collapses
into the darkness
of the ground.

Dear Yann, thank you for this lovely insight into men's psyche. Yes, I think you are right, they may show nonchalance on the surface if the "rope is cut", but they do meet a dark place I am sure!

... it does happen to women too, but they somehow handle the situation better, I believe

Love,
Margherita

After some keen observation, I think you are absolutely right and said it very well.

Hello Alison, I think that my poem is a little bit naive but there is some truth for some men...

Give a man enough rope and he'll find a woman to hang him! That's how hopelessly brilliant we guys are in love!

An enjoyable read, yann!
