I sat on a bench in the sun,
a wise wanderer came to me and said:
"I take life as it comes, catch the flow.
Did you notice life’s like being in a big river:
you don't swim upstream or you’ll drown, friend,
take a lesson from a piece of driftwood.
No struggle, just going along for the ride and yet,
an artist on the shore,
paints the scene and there it is:
in a gallery for all to see, yet still floating,
caught in the magic of light and shadow
by the magician in paints.”

“Just by being who I AM in this sunshine
I can heal the world, I can change
the kaleidoscope of life around this town.

Even if I know no one here,
I know all things inside my mind
and this knowing brings me to the edge of time.”

He slowly drank the coffee I bought him
and with a smile, he disappeared.

WindWalker,

This is a wise poem well constructed.

When I go to the beach I tend to meet a whole different type of people than your stranger. Like the time, years ago, that my family and I met Charles Manson and a couple of his  "girls" at Seal Beach in their birthday suits. They were all tiny little people. Hard to believe they could cause so much destruction. I haven't met a wise philosopher...ever.

WW - I think the wise wanderer you met was none other than yourself - right?  Yes, we can heal the word but how many of us can be who we really are in this world?  Enjoyed!

two vastly interesting points:

“Just by being who I AM in this sunshine
I can heal the world, I can change
the kaleidoscope of life..."

AND:

"I know all things inside my mind
and this knowing brings me to the edge of time.”

Applause for this 'penning!!'

"“Just by being who I AM in this sunshine
I can heal the world, I can change
the kaleidoscope of life "  So true, if we all concentrated on the perfect being inside, there would be no problems to solve.  Wisdom in every line.  Pleasure reading

I do so love to read your poetry, One Who Walks with the Wind ~ and who goes with the flow!

An there you have it!!   This is quite a sight to behold.

I so enjoyed every single brush stroke, WindWalker~
