Felix is sitting on the curb
mid-block
in the early night.

He’s having one of his
depressed times.

He’s got tears ready to drop
from his eyes,
and he’s wringing his hands.

He’s not looking forward
to the night,
and he really wishes
he didn’t have to do this,
but he knows he must
he has no choice.

A car approaches slowly,
Felix gets up,
smiles,
and waves his arm.

Bobby

Oh, Bobby, this is really so sad, it depresses me too! You succeed in touching the reader deeply by rendering the dramatic atmosphere so powerfully. It's impossible to remain indifferent.

Love,
Margherita

Thanks dear Margherita,

Thanks for reading and being able to commenting.  Yes, I think it's sad too.  Felix has to do what he has to do.

Love Bobby

Thanks dear RDB,

As you know, Felix needs all the hugs he can get, and those special hugs are the best.

There is a depth and complexity to Felix that I find appealing. I think it would be great for humanity if there were more like him in this world of easy moral relativism.

Thanks Art,

I'm going to study moral relativism.

As you know, Felix hates what he has to do to live.  It hurts physically.

Felix has never hurt anyone, and never will.  Felix is the victim of his clients, and society in general.

Felix doesn’t do remorse.

This is indeed sad and depressing. Felix is a stong person to have survived this situation.

Thanks dear Ida,

That's the way it is out on the street.  Felix is lucky to have made it.
