Trails of longing

Oh, god, I see you in the clouds ...
and in whatever else my eyes behold.

Airborne on eagle’s wings
I drift upon soft air streams
that steer me out of stifling ties
into limitless fields of freedom
where dreams are healing tools.

My thoughts then turn to only you,
my lungs fill with your breath of life,
your velvety voice charms my ears,
deep longing diffuses in my mind,
the vacuum in my solar plexus sighs.

Within the secrecy of my inner eyes
you plunge into my creative space.
You know my heart’s desires,
I let you play the leading role
in this game of love we perform.

In freefall we aim at our one soul,
we adorn it with our wants and smiles
and make it our hush-hush playground.
Lips part and seek the touch to sip honey
from our newly sprouted soul flowers.

Tremulous trails of longing arch like snakes
to the sound of a flute and slowly fade ...

Dear Margherita,

This works beautifully for me.  I like your musings in the air.  You cover quite an array of sensations.

This was so soothing to read.  The image of finding completeness and fulfilling our dreams was beautifully expressed

"the vacuum in my solar plexus sighs."

nodding

mine turned out to be my gallbladder, but what wrecked it was my attempts to fill it with bad things.

You are our poet mesmerist, dear Margherita.

just lovely...

You know, Margherita, yes, you do know, whereas I'm just beginning to know that I know.     And I know that you know what I mean.  Your words so well constructed always enlighten and I thank you so much for that.

Maga Margherita, there is divine magic in the words you write.

"Oh, god, I see you in the clouds ...
and in whatever else my eyes behold."

~ I do so know whereof you speak, dear kindred spirit.

Dear Margherita, what a beautiful soul you are. You simply breathe life into everything you see, and touch. Your poem left me on the trail, longing for more. And thank you for all of your support whenever, I am here. How fortunate I am to know you.
