From the Dawn

I made you a swing on the moon today
on a branch of a shadow less tree
We could sneak over there perhaps
when the earth blocks the sun
and the tides of wind are just right

I could push you if you promise
to hold on tight, this time
and we could watch our world revolve
as we spin through void's forgotten past
Or, we could take a ride on the merry-go-round
of Jupiter, and look down to where it all began,
and where it all, will never end

I wonder if we ever loved each other before,
and we know it, but we don’t
It could have been a parallel affair of some sort
on some moment less day
when prophecy was a promise
and heartbeat, was our only tongue

The stars in your eyes
melted darkness when I saw them
and it brought an invisible glow
from which cherished memories could be seen,
once again

I think I’m going to start sailing to the edge,
where the ocean drinks the sun,
and jump on
I’ll see you in the morning, hopefully,
from the dawn,
of our tomorrow

Freedom of expression is our, write.

"I think I am going to start sailing to the edge,
where the ocean drinks the sun." Love this,
very clever.

Richy, the "R" in your name must surely stand for "R"omantic!!! ~
"I made you a swing on the moon today
on a branch of a shadow less tree"

"when prophecy was a promise
and heartbeat, was our only tongue"

~ Uniquely expressive turns of phrase!

"from the dawn,
of our tomorrow"

~ May all your tomorrows dawn with such joyful light!

A pleasurable reading experience!

when prophecy was a promise
and heartbeat, was our only tongue"  Thanks for the pleasure of reading your work
